Each year, for the last twelve years, we have taken a group of pilgrims from North America, to live in a Hindu-Christian ashram, visit ancient temples, experience powerful rituals and study the Yoga of Sound in its natural setting. Taking into consideration the needs of the Western spiritual seeker, we have carefully planned and organized this experience that allows for an expansion of world view and deepening of consciousness while eliciting the best of India.Each year, for the past ten consecutive years, we have seen our participants radically transformed by this experience. I am honored to be yet again a part of the Interfaith Devotional Singing and Sacred Dance Festivals inspired by Swami Vishnudevananda’s mission to bring together people from all faiths. The heart-opening practice of devotional song and dance is a powerful uniting force, and there is always a sharing of much joy and celebration during the Interfaith Music and Dance Festivals at this special Yoga Retreat in the Bahamas.

What better way to spend your Easter weekend than to open the door to profound mystical consciousness? Yoga shares many common values, objectives, and experiences with the deeper aspects of the Christian mystical tradition. During this weekend, we will explore what it means to be a mystic in the fullest sense of the word, drawing inspiration from the teachings of Jesus and the great Christian mystics as well as eminent rishis and yogis of the Indian tradition. This dialogue between depth yoga and depth Christianity is a conversation that can greatly enhance the experience and practice of yoga.
Pankaj and Ajay Sharma, a devotional music duo, will accompany Russill throughout the weekend on vocals and Indian percussion instruments.

Come prepared to liberate your voice and dance your prayers to rich musical accompaniment with Russill Paul and Kripalu musicians. The intention of this evening’s kirtan is moksha, the liberation of the soul that is the true significance of Easter.

I am honored to be on the faculty of The New York Open Center’s Sound and Music Institute, a multi-cultural, multidisciplinary and integral approach to the study of voice, music and sound and its effects on the human mind, body and spirit.
CORE ELEMENTS OF THE PROGRAM
• The technical and theoretical dimensions of musical expression including Sound, Voice, Rhythm, and Music
• Therapeutic use of sound and music including psychoacoustic music, auditory stimulation programs, creative arts/music therapies and various scientific research applications
• Sacred Sound and Music—including shamanic, mantric, sound ecology and transformational sound techniques

It is wonderful to be returning to California and sharing my work with the Creation Spirituality community at this gathering of thinkers, speakers, activists and artists. For about seventeen years, I remained an integral part of this community in the San Francisco Bay Area, a time that enriched my spiritual life and expanded my thinking. EXPLORING ENLIGHTENMENT AND THE DEEPER DIMENSIONS OF YOGIC SPIRITUALITY
I am delighted to be returning to Southfield, Michigan, just outside of Detroit, for a weekend of deep spiritual practice. I had a wonderful experience there a few months ago, including the joy of performing with some excellent musicians from the area. This is a wonderful community of deeply committed spiritual practitioners and the church is simple and elegant with superb acoustics.
