Dear friends,

This benefit concert is for SVdP's Catherine's Center, A
collaboration of the Sisters of Mercy with St. Vincent de
Paul Society of San Mateo County. SVdP's Catherine's Center
is a beautiful safe home and program for women leaving jail
or prison. Women choose to come here. They have decided to
change their lives and know they need intensive support to
do so. Come hear their difficult yet inspiring stories
within the context of beautiful healing music.

COMING UP NEXT – KRIPALU YOGA RETREAT: I also want to
remind you about my upcoming Easter retreat “Chanting into
the Light” at Kripalu Yoga Center in the beautiful
Berkshires. It looks like we have a wonderful group signed
up, but, as the saying goes, “the more, the merrier!”
Additionally, during the weekend, I’ll be offering a
special Easter Sunday kirtan with the yogi drummers
“Drummers of Kripalu.” More info:

PHILY IN FEBRUARY: Since our return from India, I have been
traveling and teaching quite continuously. I had a great
time in Philadelphia at the Family Play and Therapy Center.
Dottie Higgins has built a wonderful community and created
a powerful healing space in the city. The response was
excellent; more than twice the expected number signed up. I
am really pleased that more and more therapists discovering
and using the immense vocabulary available through The Yoga
of Sound. Know more about the center:

PUBLIC TELEVISION RECORDING: Soon after the program, I also
interviewed for public television by maverick philosopher
Ashok Gangadin from Haverford College in Philadelphia. The
program, Global Lens, features cutting-edge presenters such
as Deepak Chopra and is a bit like an east coast version of
Michael Toms and New Dimensions Radio. We had an
invigorating dialog on The Yoga of Sound that got the
camera technicians and crew really excited. Read more about
the program:

THE WEEKS BEFORE: Last week I was in Vegas with a prominent
group of medical doctors, Ayuravedic practitioners and yoga
teachers for an amazing conference called Ayurvegas 05
hosted by the Las Vegas Institute of Ayurveda. I learned so
much and felt so privileged to be with these folks. They
are so down to earth and humble and such great healers at
the same time. My dream is that the science of mantra and
music (Nada Yoga) together with Ayurveda and Hatha Yoga
will form the Holy Trinity of natural healing.

In between Vegas and Philly I taught an intensive week for
the graduate students of Naropa University Oakland’s
Liberal Arts program in Oakland, CA. I was deeply impressed
with the sincerity of these students and their passion for
spiritual practice. We had a great time chanting, moving
and meditating together. Know more:

QUICK UPDATE ON OUR TRIP TO INDIA: I will email you a
report on our recent pilgrimage to India in a few weeks. As
you can tell, I’ve not had much time to write since my
return, but I will next month. India, by the way, was
amazing experience for us. The tsunami tragedy certainly
placed us all in a sober frame of mind during this
pilgrimage, but it also connected us to the land and to the
people in a very special way.

I wish you every blessing this year. May it unfold with
clarity and great joy for you, your communities and your
loved ones.

Om Shanti,

In One Heart,

Russill Paul
