INTERVIEWS THIS WEEKEND

Dear friend,
I hope this finds you well. Here, in Texas, we seem off to an early summer with occasional respite from a dramatic thunderstorm. Last night was spectacular with sweeping gusts of rain accompanied by small hailstones and loud thunder. The lightning was almost incessant.
During the few last weeks, I have been promoting my book, Jesus in the Lotus, through a number of radio interviews. What is wonderful through this process is getting to meet these amazing people. The questions are not set. They ask whatever they want, whenever they want to,(literally, "flying by the seat of your pants" style); and, although unscripted, many of these questions are predictable. I am very comfortable with this format; however, most of the interviews that I did for this book were by extremely knowledgeable people, several of them authors themselves. I often wished I was interviewing them! Some were veteran radio hosts who were as incisive as a surgeon's scalpel. They gave me no time to think. Although they never interrupted me, they asked their next question as soon as I paused for breath.

Another recent interview, conducted live this past Tuesday, was on Unity Church's FM Radio Station. Rev. Paul John Roach, who is minister of the Unity Church of Fort Worth, TX, studied at the Jesus College at Oxford and spent a lot of time in India. He brings a wealth of experience in hosting a show on World Spirituality that I was featured on.
Prior to that, I did three interviews on Blogspot Radio. My first interviewer, Dr. Anita Law, is half East Indian Hindu and half white American Christian by ancestry. She is also an author and spiritual teacher. Can you imagine how much we had in common? Then there was Dr. Rena Reese, an author and fitness expert who inspires fitness from a spiritual perspective with books of her own. Finally, Dr. Rita Louise, a 20-year veteran of the alternative health field who provides guidance, support, and encouragement to help people create a balanced life.
