I just returned from my Easter Retreat at Kripalu and have a great story for you (see bottom of this email).

APRIL 23 – 25: HEALING SOUND AND MUSIC WEEKEND AT OPEN CENTER IN NEW YORK CITY: I will be New York City in a couple of weeks to teach in Sound and Music Healing Program. This is a certification course for anyone interested in having the credentials to use sound and music for healing. It is very assuring that there are so many professional programs like this that are now being offered throughout the country, a testament that there is strong recognition of the healing power of sound and music. Academic programs in music therapy are also gaining prominence.

Please not that you do not need to be enrolled in the Sound Healing certification program to take the course that I am offering. I will be focusing on specific mantras and techniques that address the healing power of sound in mantra and in music. This workshop is filling up quickly and only limited spaces remain so please act quickly if you are interested.

APRIL 14: HEALING SOUNDS RADIO INTERVIEW WITH SOUND HEALING POINEER JONATHAN GOLDMAN: Please tune in for a live internet radio interview on the healing power of sound and music in context of The Yoga of Sound. Jonathan Goldman is a pioneer in the field of sound healing and has books and CDs on the subject.

I have known Jonathan Goldman, a remarkable and dedicated man, for about 15 years and I am excited about our public conversation. He has a recent book, “The 7 Secrets of Sound Healing” from Hay House and a CD “The Divine Name: Sounds of the God Code” among many other publications. CUTE STORY FROM MY EASTER RETREAT AT KRIPALU: One of the participants in my Easter workshop at Kripalu has a five-year old daughter. She was dropping her off at preschool when she had the following conversation with her daughter’s friend.

“I am going off this weekend to do a workshop about Jesus and Yoga”, she tells her.

The little girl lights up and declares, “I looooove Yoga”.

“How about Jesus, though, don’t you love Jesus?”

“Well, I like Jesus”, she responds thoughtfully, “but I loooooooove Yoga. He’s so cute with his big head and funny ears”.

“That’s Yoda, honey, not Yoga”!

True story!

This little girl would never know how close she was to the truth. Yoda was the nickname that a bunch of pilgrims on one of recent pilgrimages had given me. I have a feeling that “Jesus and Yoda” would be a great title for my next Easter retreat at Kripalu :)
