I had an amazing time in Nottingham, NH, this past weekend. It was great to meet so many of our pilgrims who travelled with us to India. And it was wonderful to make music with some phenomenal musicians. I will have clips on You Tube in the next couple of weeks: I was excited to introduce a number of new kirtans I have been working on in the last few months. Another powerful part of the weekend was a public dialog with Minister Ben Fowler on the Role of Sound in Healing and Enlightenment. This was part of the Sunday morning service. Again, I hope to share a good part of this through posting video for you all in the next few weeks.

PRACTICE: During the weekend, someone asked me how to sustain their spiritual life and this is what I suggested. I would like to extend this piece of information to you as well. Try and realign yourself every two or three hours. By this, I mean return a sense of your whole self. If we don't do this, the ego has free reign and, invariably, we loose touch with our center and our deep Self as a result with the autonomy of the ego and its habits that hijaks our energies. By checking in every two or three hours, we reduce the capability of our egos to run too far and for too long on the usurption of energies. Find a quiet place; sometimes, the restroom might be the best alternative. Try and let go of all mental process and come home to the direct experience of Self at the core of your being. Realign your energies to operate from the peace and depth of this holy place within.

It is wonderful to be returning to California and sharing my work with the Creation Spirituality community at this gathering of thinkers, speakers, activists and artists. As you may know, for about seventeen years, I remained an integral part of this community in the San Francisco Bay Area, a time that enriched my spiritual life and expanded my thinking. I would like to extended to you the invitation to join me for this very special four-day experience that includes brilliant theologian and visionary, Matthew Fox, noted author and wiccan leader, Starhawk, myself, and others.

The extended weekend will be held at The Mercy Center in Burlingame, CA, just a few minutes from San Francisco International Airport. This is one of my favorite retreat facilities in the country. Gorgeous grounds and great atmosphere.
