Nada: Awakening Spirit

Nada Yoga is a 2,000-year-old pathway to higher consciousness, enhanced health and deeper levels of perception, developed in the esoteric spiritual schools of India. Russill Paul left his career as a film musician and took up residence in an Indian monastery where he devoted himself to deeply mastering this powerful art form. On Nada, Russill’s remarkable chanting is accompanied by his own ten-stringed hybrid instrument called a Unitar, Bansuri flute, Indian percussion, Sarangi, and Tanpura. Nada can be used for meditation, or to fill up a room with uplifting energy. Chanting along is almost irresistible.

How to Use Nada

While you may enjoy these recordings at any time of the day, for optimal effect play

them in the evening. Use them in any of these three ways:

1) To slow down. Let the chanting still your mind. Sit and meditate on the sounds.

2) To energize. Get a boost by chanting along with the tracks. Activate your life force.

3) To heal. Explore the meditation exercises included with each track. Create wellness.

Shabda: Mantra Mysticism

3,000 years ago in the Temples of India, yogis chanted sacred Vedic mantras as a practice of meditation, inspiration and spiritual awakening. Russill Paul is a modern master of this practice, having left his career in film music to immerse himself in Monastery life and be initiated into this powerful art. Russill’s evocative chanting is supported by an ensemble of traditional Indian and contemporary instrumentation. Listen quietly to go on an inward journey through meditative states, or chant along and be bathed in these healing sonic energies.

How to Use Shabda

1) To slow down. Let the chanting still your mind. Sit and meditate on the sounds.

2) To energize. Get a boost by chanting along with the tracks. Activate your life force.

3) To heal. Meditate on the meaning of the chants and their healing vibrations. Create wellness.

The 1,500-year-old Tantric tradition of Shakti Yoga uses sacred sound to arouse the body’s subtle energy centers, called “chakras.” African and Indian percussion, bamboo flute, sarangi, and tanpura enliven Russill’s stirring Tantric chants. Shakti connects you to your body and the earth, heightening sensuality, deepening yoga practice, and inspiring movement and meditation.

How to Use Shakti

1) Play in the background while taking a bath, relaxing in a chair or making love.

2) Chant along while moving, when practicing yoga, tai chi, or freestyle movement.

Bhava: Ecstatic Heart

Guitars and synthesizers combine with tanpura, sarangi, Indian percussion and bansuri flute to create an inspiring fusion of east and west. Russill’s penetrating Sanskrit chant unites the expansiveness of the cosmos with the intimacy of the human body, bringing you a sense of inner freedom, liberation, and profound love.
