Art and Culture
The Divine energy in form
Art and culture is just as important as spirituality. There are many opportunities provided to encounter the sacred in art, like this splendid durbar hall beautifully adorned with frescoes. Shown below is a detail of the ceiling.
We make it a point to chant and meditate wherever possible during our sight-seeing, so that art is always accompanied by spiritual practice. We constantly look for ways to transform the external journey into an internal journey.

Here's an example of the exquisite bronze work in this museum: Shiva in the guise of a beggar.

A school teacher in a village teaches children to perform dance steps. The kids put on wonderful shows for us during our pilgrimage.
