These beautiful photographs were taken on our annual pilgrimages to South India over the past twelve years. It is also the setting for my life in India described in my book Jesus in the Lotus: The Mystical Doorway between Christianity and Yogic Spirituality. We actually visit many of these spots during our current pilgrimages: the temples where I studied Sanskrit and Indian music, the ashram where I developed my spiritual practice and the sacred Cauvery river on the banks of which I received many a deep spiritual insight.
